Once you know your per-unit cost, price from it. A useful benchmark: keep manufacturing cost to roughly 10–20% of retail price. For a $3–4 serum, that points to a retail price around $20–30. Korea-specific cost factors

  • Exchange rate. Quotes are often in Korean won, and with the won relatively weak, a KRW-based quote can work out cheaper in USD terms. Just remember the final unit cost moves with the exchange rate.
  • Export costs. The third layer includes export-specific fees — export packaging, port charges, and the export declaration — that are easy to leave out of an early budget.

The cost that scales with volume: the shipping box

One cost changes character as you grow. For an early run (around 1,000 units), the out-box cost is usually absorbed into the overall price — you use the manufacturer's standard box.
